Vilberg Elementary School, Eidsvoll | Norway

This autumn 800 pupils and 70 teachers at the municipality Eidsvoll, approx. 1,5 hours north-east of Oslo, started to use the new primary Vilberg school.
10000 m2 school buildings including a sportshall of 2500 m2 and 30000 m2 outdoor areas makes this school one of Norway’s largest recently built.
Shaped as barn buildings embedded in the agricultural landscape, both school buildings and sportshall are built with loadbearing structures in glulam and CLT BBS from binderholz. Indoor environment is dominated by CLT BBS wall elements with visual quality.
